UCLU Islamic Society is a mixture of Muslim students of different races, nationalities, ages and abilities, male and female all with the same goal in mind, serving the Muslims and non-Muslims on campus. We welcome all students, Muslim and non-Muslim who may be interested in what we do, you are all important to us!
For the past decade; the Islamic Society at UCL has been at the forefront of student activities. The Isoc is primarily an Islamic service for the sole purpose to cater the needs of Muslim students and to promote the ideals of Islam to non-Muslims in the university. We are here for ALL Muslims, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or sect. It is a mixture of Muslim students of different races, nationalities, ages and abilities, male and female all with the same goal in mind, serving the Muslims and non-Muslims on campus. We welcome all students, Muslim and non-Muslim who may be interested in what we do, you are all important to us!
The Islamic service we provide is upon the methodology of purifying (tafsiyah) Islam from that which is not from it and then cultivating (tarbiyah) the Muslims upon the Islam as it was understood by the first three generations of Muslims. We wish to inform our Brothers and Sisters of the guidance of the Qur'aan and the Prophetic Sunnah as it was understood by those blessed three generations that were closest to it.
UCLU Islamic Soicety has a proud history of adherening to the Qur'aan and Sunnah and a strict policy whereby we always take matters of recourse to the people of knowledge present here within the UK, whenever issues requiring clarification arise. We are granted prayer facilities by the University in the Contemplation Room (Hut 34) located behind the Medawar Building and we pray the Friday (Jumuah) prayer in the Conference Room (Brothers) and Room 204 (Sisters) both of which are located on the 2nd floor of the Bloomsbury Building.
